Install a validated Minecraft modpack

Install only a validated modpack build for the matching Minecraft and loader version, with a recovery point before updates.

Before installing

  1. Confirm the Minecraft version and required loader.
  2. Check the modpack’s server requirements and expected memory footprint.
  3. Create a manual recovery point if replacing an existing setup.
  4. Use a Runic-tested CurseForge or Modrinth workflow only when that exact path is marked supported.

Updates

Do not blindly auto-update a modded server. A new pack build can change loader requirements, configuration, world generation or dependencies. The safer default is an update notification plus a backup and compatibility warning before applying the change.
