Restart and protect the save
- Announce the restart and back up the world before changing the game build, world settings or mods.
- Stop from the panel and wait for the process to exit before editing files. Start again and watch for the world-loaded message.
- Verify a player can join the same named world and that recent changes remain.
Mods
- Choose Necesse mods compatible with the server build; note whether the author also requires the mod on each client.
- Stop the server and upload the mod package to the dedicated server’s mods directory using Files or SFTP. Preserve the package filename and include its dependencies.
- Start and read the mod-loading errors. If a client is rejected, compare its mod list with the server; remove the last added mod and restart to isolate a bad package.
ImportantRunic does not currently claim automatic Workshop one-click installation for this game.
Cannot connect
- Confirm the process is running and use the assigned connection details, not an example port from another host.
- Check the join password, player limit and matching game version.
- Inspect Console for a mod mismatch or world-loading error before changing network settings.
Wrong world or crash on start
Check the configured save name and worldSettings.cfg. Stop before replacing a save, and restore the complete matching world archive from the backup. If startup broke just after a mod addition, remove that mod first and retest the original world.
