Set up your Core Keeper server

Set the Core Keeper world identity, seed, mode and player cap before the group starts progressing, then preserve the world index and save together.

Choose the world before launch

A Core Keeper dedicated server can be configured with a world index, world name, world seed, world mode, game ID and maximum players. The seed and world mode matter most when creating a new world; changing them later does not safely transform an existing save.

Safe first-run checklist

  1. Choose the intended world index and a recognizable world name.
  2. Set the expected player cap for the group.
  3. Choose Normal or Hard world mode before generating a new world.
  4. Leave a generated Game ID alone unless you have a specific migration reason to preserve or replace it.
  5. Start the server and copy the connection/game information from the panel before inviting players.

Back up and migrate worlds

Stop the server before replacing Core Keeper world data. Keep the complete world save and the server identity/settings needed by the validated Runic workflow together, then verify the migrated world before removing the original copy.
