Connect to your new server

Find the assigned address, use the correct game-specific connection screen and keep the port when the game requires it.

Use the address from your service

A production server receives its real connection details only after provisioning succeeds. Use the address shown in the game panel or customer service summary rather than copying an example address from a guide.

Some games use an IP and port. Some can use a friendly hostname. Minecraft can use SRV records in supported configurations, while other games may still require the assigned port.

Connection checklist

  1. Confirm the server status is ready or running.
  2. Copy the assigned hostname or IP exactly.
  3. Include the assigned port if the game requires one.
  4. Make sure your client version matches the server version or modpack.
  5. If the connection fails, check the console for startup errors before changing unrelated settings.
