Split the Cost: let friends chip in on an invoice

Create a contribution link

1. Sign in to the Runic Client Area at client.runichosting.com.
2. Open Invoices and select the unpaid invoice you want to share.
3. Choose Split the Cost, then create the contribution link.
4. Copy the link and send it to the people chipping in.

What your friends see

Each person opens the link, enters an amount from $1.00 up to what is still due on the invoice, and pays through PayPal. They do not need a Runic account.

Paying does not give a contributor access to your account, server, game panel, files or backups, and it does not let them cancel or change the service.

Contributions are credited to the invoice automatically, including when someone closes the browser right after PayPal confirms the payment.

How long a link lasts

1. A link stays valid for up to 7 days.
2. You can revoke it at any time from the same invoice page, for example if it was shared with the wrong group.
3. The link stops accepting payments once the invoice is fully paid.

You stay responsible for the invoice

You remain the only owner of the server and are responsible for the full invoice. If contributions do not cover the balance by the due date, pay the remainder yourself so the server is not suspended for non-payment.

If a split invoice is refunded, the refund is returned to the original payment sources where possible. The Trial & Split Payment Policy has the full rules.
