Restart or update
- Warn players and back up the world before an update or settings change.
- Stop through the panel and wait for the server process to exit. Leave the EOS Owner ID and existing world name unchanged unless intentionally migrating.
- Start and wait for the game session to listen; confirm the same world appears before deleting the recovery point.
World visible but join fails
- Use the assigned game address and port. Dragonwilds also needs its settings beacon on the paired second UDP port.
- Check Console for a completed load, then retry once with the correct world password.
- If the world lists but a client gets Connection Lost, send support the time of the attempt; we will check both assigned ports and the beacon rather than wiping the save.
Owner or world is missing
The official dedicated server requires an EOS player owner ID. This is not a Steam ID. Check that the Startup field still contains the intended owner ID without posting it in a public ticket. A changed world name or save path may open a new world; restore the matching save and configuration as a set while the server is stopped.
Mods and plugins
Runic has not validated a Dragonwilds dedicated-server mod or plugin loader. The launch workflow supports game configuration, world persistence and backups. Do not upload unverified third-party executables into a live world.
